So you want me to interview you?

After reviewing a mountain of applications, here are my tips to help you stand out from the crowd. For what it's worth... Tip #1: About that cover letter. Tell me about yourself, your strengths, experiences, goals. Tell me what you will bring to my school. This, of course, means you better know things about my school. Demographics, mascot, handbook, school improvement plan. It's all out there, found easily with a little Google research. Tip #2: Don't start any correspondence with "To Whom It May Concern". If you want me to give you an interview, you better know my name. It's meant to be a conversation between you to me, isn't it? Also, keep in mind there is a big difference between wanting A job, and wanting THIS job. Guess which person I'll be interviewing in the future?
